Never Wear Vans Again!

Writer's picture: Kelly GreenKelly Green

For years, I was obsessed with the white slip on vans. I wore them daily because they were so easy to slip on and go. The only issue was how quickly they would no longer look white.

I hate to say this but I wouldn’t clean them… they were cloth fabric and it made it complicated to clean them properly… so I didn’t. I know terrible… but I also would wear them out. There would be holes in the shoes… I was obsessed with wearing them, so of course I destroyed them.

I explored the idea of buying Vejas after seeing a few influencers wearing them... although it was seeing both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle wearing a pair. If it was good enough for the royals, then it was good enough for me! Veja shoes fall between $100 to $160. Not terrible, but I wasn't absolutely in love with the shoes. So I continued to search.

One day, I was thinking about what the perfect vans would be. They would be white with waterproof, easy to clean material… and then I found them. Except, they weren’t vans…

I found Thousand Fell shoes.

I have gone through few pairs and destroyed them… because they’re the perfect shoe for everything. I wear mine at the gym for lifting, at my part time gig, and pretty much for everything. They’re super cute and I love wearing them when it’s raining because the slip ons are definitely waterproof for me!

If you're looking to replace your vans, check out Thousand Fell.
