Dating 101

If you read that title and thought you would be learning about how to date...you were wrong. I am not an expert in any way. I am terrible at dating. Although, I am an expert on dating shows. I love them! There are so many dating shows to watch. I love watching them and I recently finished one that I think everyone needs to watch.

Too Hot to Handle

I love the idea of this show. A bunch of sex focused people go on a show and think it's a crazy party show (whatever that is) and then are focused to become celibate against their own wishes. Oh and they are young and attractive. WAIT! It doesn't stop there... they also have to form real connections. There are currently 3 seasons. Perfect for binge watching.

My only complaint is that people watched the show and then end up on it and play the game. For example, in S2, the winner clearly knew by pretending to have a meaningful relationship with someone after mistreating them most of the season, people would consider him to be the one who changed most... it was so fake. He won. She deserved better. That relationship ended quickly.

Love is Blind

The idea behind this show was genius. Take a bunch of people and have them talk to one another without ever seeing each other and hope they form real, long-lasting connections without letting looks get in the way. The point is to answer the question is love really blind? Is it? Well, they are all conventionally attractive people.

The first season was amazing and those couples are still together!! The second season was eh and the couples are currently divorcing. I think the problem with the show is how quickly the couples are forced to move the relationship with little time to consider long term consequences.

Dated and Related

The makers of this show thought "I really want people to find someone to date... but they should do it with the sibling there for every moment" and this show was born. Not only are the siblings there for every moment, but they're forced to wing man or wing woman for their sibling... awkward! But amazing content! I could not stop laughing at this show. If you want nonstop laughs, this is the show for you!
